I fell in love with Flowering Baby even before I opened the file. The story of how this curriculum came to be made me want to review it even more. The creators are a mother-daughter team with a passion for education and homeschool. This just makes me smile!
Flowering Baby is available for levels 0-5 years of age, broken down by year. The curriculum is aligned with holidays and events throughout the year. This design is great because that means you can jump in at any time.
The Birth to One curriculum involves a lot of reading, music and sensory games like Pat-a-Cake. The One to Two curriculum It is truly designed for ages 13 months and up. Again, this curriculum has a huge focus on books, which I love! The curriculum for ages Two to Three introduces little projects to practice gross and fine motor skills that focus around themes and books. Each theme has 6 days of suggested activities. Beginning with the Three to Four, more projects are introduced as well as suggestions for websites and field trips. You can purchase individual years for $30 each for the first 3 years and then $38 each for the last two years. They also sell the whole set for $132. All of the curriculum comes in PDF format so you can print only what you need to print.
Here are links to each year. There is a free sample download at the bottom of each page.
The authors also provide you with a list of supplies needed that are easy to find, suggested websites which are mostly free and suggested field trips. It is all laid out in a 5 day plan. Of course, the plan is totally flexible so you can pick and choose as to what fits your schedule and your child's ability. If you are teaching older kids, this is always a factor.
