I have just got to share this website with you! Menu planning seems to be the thing that I struggle with the most. I consider myself to be a decent cook and I enjoy cooking (most of the time). Like most moms, I have at least a dozen recipes in my head that I don't need to have written down to make. I also consider myself to be fairly organized. Some of my real life friends would probably laugh at my use of fairly in that sentence. So why is it that when it comes to planning meals, something that is super important, I just seem to hit a wall. Every. Time.
Help is on the way! I stumbled upon Plan To Eat a few weeks ago. It's easy to use, cheap and it's a lifesaver. First, you have to do some work by typing in your recipes. While this is labor intensive, it sure helps in the long run. I can't tell you how many times I have stood in the aisle at the store trying to recall ingredients, staring at the ceiling as if the recipe was magically written up there. After you type in your recipes, you are ready to plan your menu for the week.
The weekly menu has places for all 3 meals and a snack. All the homeschool moms just said, "AMEN!" As you add items to your menu, the ingredients are added to a shopping list. Once your list is made, you can shop your own fridge and pantry first and cross off what you might already have.
Are you ready for the coolest part? Seriously, can you handle anymore of my excitement?
There's a mobile app! I feel like these people know me. It's like they know I am going to do all this work, print it out and then drive my happy self to the store with the list still sitting on the printer. Yeah, I've never done that.
Try it for FREE for 30 days and then it's just $4.95/m or $39/yr.
Meal Planning is by far my weakest area. I can clean, love cleaning. Cooking...not at all :(
